FAQs
SERVICE INFORMATION
How does it work?
On the day of your scheduled service, you will receive a text message when we complete the job prior to yours and we are en-route to your home. Normally, our routes are very densely curated, so our technician can be just minutes away on average. When we arrive for your first service, our friendly technician will come to your door and introduce himself and go over any questions or concerns you may have. If you’re not home, not a problem! We will proceed to perform our expert service in your yard!
Our skilled technicians are trained to walk in a “lawnmower” grid style pattern to ensure we don’t overlook any waste. Once your tech has made several passes over your yard, they will make a final thorough inspection of the area before completing service. Technicians will check the entire service area, including sides of your house, behind sheds, pools, rocks and bark or any specific areas mentioned at signup. After final inspection is complete, waste bags are tied up nice and secure and disposed of in your garbage waste receptacle and we make sure your gate is secured properly upon our departure with our ‘triple check” system to ensure your pooper stays put and your property is safe!
How much does it cost to hire a professional pooper scooper?
Clean Paws Scooping has pooper scooper service plans starting as low as $60 per month. However, pricing is based on the size of the yard, service frequency, and number of dogs. Most of our clients end up paying between $85 and $155 per month.
How am I charged?
Stress-free! Our ongoing, weekly service customers will be automatically enrolled in monthly auto-payment billing with the payment information submitted at time of sign up. Auto payments will initiate on a recurring cycle, on the first of each month. An active credit or debit card must be used at signup and remain on file. Monthly billing must be authorized by your financial institution. Locked or disabled cards preventing payment may result in late fees. We do not accept cash, ACH, checks, COD’s, cash apps or any other forms of payment. All services rendered are prepaid. Your client login information will be emailed to you once you have completed the onboarding process on our website or over the phone. There you can easily access service invoices, make changes to your service and update your credit card information!
How do I pay?
We have a client portal where payment is processed. If you did not onboard yourself through the Instant Quote button on our website, our team will create an account on your behalf after you have spoken to a Clean Paws Scooping representative. We will then send your login info to your email. The process to sign up is simple and takes under two minutes. Inside your portal account, you will have access to copies of all paid invoices, and records of past/scheduled services, and you can link your credit/debit card to the secure platform. After you link your card, we will generate and pay invoices on your behalf and send you receipts.
Note: Your card will need to be linked to your account by the time we arrive at your home. If your card is not connected by this time, we will attempt to contact you and knock on your door. If no contact is made, we will reschedule your cleanup for the next available date. Depending on the time of year, this could be weeks out. If you

Do you work holidays?
We typically do not provide service on major holidays. If your scheduled service falls on a holiday, we’ll reschedule it to the next available business day and notify you in advance. This ensures consistent service while allowing our team to enjoy time with their loved ones.
Do you provide dog waste removal services all year round?
Yes! Clean Paws Scooping provides dog waste removal services year-round at all of our locations. Even in the winter, we will still show up to provide services. In locations with leaves or snow, most of the waste that accumulates is still scoopable. Please read more about our weather policies.
How do you dispose of the pet waste after each cleanup?
Proper disposal is essential to environmental safety as dog poop is considered a hazardous material. Upon completion of the cleanup, we will double bag the waste and place it in your trash receptacle. If your trash bin is not outside, we will double/triple bag the waste to make it presentable and place it next to your gate or garage.
SCHEDULING & APPOINTMENTS
Do you provide arrival windows for services?
No, we don’t provide arrival times for our pooper scooper services. While we will do our best to accommodate your schedule, we optimize our routes for drive time at midnight the day before services are completed to help keep costs low.
What time will you be at my home?
With respect to scheduling, we are unable to provide a timeframe for your scoop day. We work just like the garbage men and provide a service day. This also helps keep our rates low for you! Our routes run from around 7:30 a.m. to dark.
Communication is important and you will always receive notice via text when we are on the way. We provide about 60 minutes’ notice so you are properly informed of our arrival. If you are at the beginning of our route, you will likely receive a 15-30 minute on-the-way text. We don’t want to bother you early in the morning before most people are awake. Your scoop day will be the same day each week. If your service day ever changes, we will always communicate with you in advance.
Will my technician always be the same?
Not necessarily. While we aim for consistency, there may be times when a different technician services your property due to scheduling or route adjustments. Rest assured, all of our technicians are highly trained and have access to detailed notes about your dogs and property. This ensures they provide the same top-quality service and personalized care every time!
My yard is behind on some upkeep, is that a problem?
If long grass, leaves, and other debris is present, it will be difficult for our technician to get a visual on all of the waste. So yes we can clean it but can’t guarantee we get it all with ongoing weekly service once you cut the lawn, remove debris and leaves the yard will be cleaned with regular ongoing service.
However, we’re here to help, no matter the condition of your yard. If your yard needs a little extra attention, we recommend starting with an initial or one-time deep clean to get everything back on track. After that, we can maintain it with regular service to keep it clean and fresh moving forward.
What about bad weather? Do you still come out?
Yes, we scoop in most weather conditions, including light rain or cold temperatures, to keep your yard clean and on schedule. However, in cases of severe weather, such as storms, heavy snow, or unsafe conditions, we may need to reschedule. If this happens, we’ll notify you as soon as possible and ensure your service is completed at the next available opportunity. Your satisfaction and safety are our top priorities!
YARD ACCESS & SAFETY
Should I unlock my gate?
Yes, please! Your gate must be unlocked on your service day by 7am (start of business on service day). If you have a keyed entry, please use a “hide-a-key” method and let us know at sign up where we can find and return your key. We recommend a combination lock for ultimate ease of service and we will keep that combination on your account for ease of entry each week.
Please be sure you update the office via phone or email with any new access codes or combinations so we can prevent an unsuccessful service attempt. If we are unable to access the yard due to a locked gate upon our arrival on your service day, you will be charged for the cleanup/visit attempt and we will come back the following week for a “double scoop” ; we are unable to return the same day for unsuccessful service attempts. Your scoop technician will knock on the door and make attempts to contact you before skipping your yard that day. You’ll also be notified through our customer portal.
Do I have to close my gate?
Don’t worry about us coming or going, our technicians implement our “Triple-Check” system that entails our technicians {{{SHAKE}}}, {{{SHAKE}}}, {{{SHAKE}}} on your gate 3 solid times, then they let go of your gate, then a swift [[[PUSH]]] of the gate inwards to assure your gate will not “pop” back open and your latch is fully secured. We want your pooper to stay put, and your property remain safe and secure. Any keys or clickers will be returned to their designated location. Any locks will be reattached and secured upon our departure. All gates are secured and closed when entering and exiting. Gates do not stay open during service.
After completing the service, our technicians will triple-check that your gate is securely closed and send you a photo for peace of mind. Your pet’s safety is always our top priority!
What if I have a gate code or a combination lock?
If you have a gate code or combination lock, let us know and we will note your account so our technician knows how to access your yard. We ask that you have your gate unlocked between 7am-6pm, if you have a combination, let us know and we will note your account. If your lock is tough to reach, our technicians do have a small ladder on hand. Unfortunately, we DO NOT accept keys to your property.
We suggest a “hide-a-key” method and inform us where to find it. If your gate is locked or inaccessible by the technician after we call, text and knock on your door, you will be charged for the cleanup/visit attempt and we will come back the following week for a “double scoop”; we are unable to return the same day for unsuccessful service attempts. Please take note we DO NOT gain access to a yard by entering through customers’ homes for sanitary, insurance and liability reasons and will not be considered.
If you have a temporary blockage of your outdoor access, please let us know and we will skip service and return when the outdoor access point is restored. We are unable to service private apartment porches or balconies that do not have outdoor access points, second story balconies or porches will not be considered for service. We do not provide residential service to communal properties that do not have resident private yards. Please have your property management reach out to our team for information regarding our commercial service packages.
Can you clean with my dog in the yard?
For the safety of your pets and our team, we cannot clean while your dog is in the yard. Even the friendliest pets can become protective or curious, which may lead to accidents or distractions. We ask that all pets remain indoors or securely away from the yard during our visit to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Your pet’s safety is our priority!
Do I have to be home when you clean?
No, you do not have to be home when we clean. We simply ask for easy access to your gate and that your dog not be in the yard while we are there.
Are your technicians background checked?
Absolutely! All of our friendly technicians are thoroughly vetted and screened before joining our team. They also complete a comprehensive training program called "Pooper Scooper Training," ensuring they’re fully prepared to provide top-notch service.
Our technicians are required to maintain a clean driving record and are subjected to weekly driving and safety reports.
Our dedicated, dog-loving technicians show up in uniform and with a smile, so you can easily recognize our staff. And if you ever need to reach us, just call 833-4-POOP-SCOOPS!
How do you ensure the safety of my dogs?
The safety of our clients and their dogs is a top priority at Clean Paws Scooping. To ensure all dogs are safe, we clean all our equipment and shoes between each yard with a kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs. We also take gate pictures when we are done cleaning so you know your pets won’t get out of the yard, and we ensure all our employees are background checked.
YARD CLEANLINESS & SANITATION

Can you sanitize and treat my yard against disease?
Yes, we can sanitize and treat your yard with our professional-grade sprays available on the Boost Menu. Our Disinfectant Treatment eliminates 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, while our Deodorizing Treatment neutralizes odors with a fresh eucalyptus scent. Both are perfect for creating a cleaner, safer outdoor space for your pets and family.

We provide our technicians with hospital grade, medical disinfectant to clean our tools and shoes throughout the service day. Technicians are not permitted to wear shoe covers for outdoor service. If you have concerns regarding these topics, please reach out to our knowledgeable support team.
